Advertising is a form of marketing communication used to encourage, persuade, or manipulate an audience (viewers, readers or listeners; sometimes a specific group) to take or continue to take some action. That being said there are SO many differents types of advertising that I decided to make it one page now and expand into sub categories in the future. Heck there is even a program for you to advertise work at home businesses.
The Catch
It depends on the type of advertising, but sales is generally the downfall. Yes you are advertising and not selling, but your pay/job may depend on what and how much you can get someone to buy from your ad.

You shouldn't pay anything, you are advertising for pay, the employer should provide anything needed to complete the job.

If you are hired by the right company, the advantage is being given a new fully wrapped car to drive around your town!
The Way You Make Money
Sometimes you get paid by the amount of sales or traffic received from you ad. Other times you are paid a flat rate to display your ad.
How & When You Get Paid
Some companies pay through pay-pal, some send checks to your home, almost all offer the option of having the money electronically transferred to your account.
